22/12/2007 · Thinking about the D-Link DGL-4500 Network Hardware (Wired & Wireless) Did a factory reset on the DGL-4500 to revert settings. Ran the DGL-4500 Wizard from the CD. Followed the prompts throughout. By the end of the wizard it said 'Cannot detect an internet connection - contact your isp etc.' Although once I checked the Status of the connection in 192.168.0.1 - connection was found and set up ready to go. 24/07/2010 · I am trying to figure out why my router drops connection completely to the internet at least once a week. In order to fix the matter I have to unplug the router and restart it. Then I have to hardwire log in to the router and save the settings with the password and it will work fine for a while. Wireless is off so I'm getting a perfect 1Gbps connection to/from the router.
